Nan Leads Working Families Legislative Caucus on Sounding Budget Crisis Alarm

On March 25, 2017, Sen. Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta), Rep. Virgil Fludd (D-Tyrone), Rep. Debbie Buckner (D-Junction City) and members of the Working Families Legislative Caucus addressed the budget crisis facing Georgia.  The caucus believed that budget proposal balanced the state’s budget on the backs of Georgia’s working families, children, sick, elderly, disabled, students, teachers and public servants.  Outlining simple strategies to raise more than $1 billion in revenues, the caucus demanded that the state act to avoid cuts that will hurt millions of vulnerable Georgians.
